Behavioral science is the study of human actions and decision-making.

It’s a multidisciplinary field that integrates insights from psychology, economics, sociology, and cognitive science to help us understand why people think, feel, and behave as they do.

WHY BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE?

Because business decisions are about humans making judgements about products and brands made and consumed by other humans. Behavioral Science helps us understand those humans better.

Before behavioral science became mainstream, it was generally thought that people’s actions and beliefs were congruent, when in reality, this doesn’t always play out.
Enter behavioral science, introducing a more nuanced understanding of consumer decision-making and, perhaps most importantly, a framework and series of rules that made interpreting behavior more scientific and criteria-based. 
BS is also rooted in our company’s purpose of creating a universe with more human understanding.

Understanding people through behavioral science is to see past the superficial, to gain a more intimate knowledge of their actions, thoughts and lives.

HOW WE DO IT? .

Product management has evolved—it's no longer just about the product but about truly understanding the user. But how user-centric can we truly be if we don’t fully understand user behaviors?

To uncover why people (for example) buys a product or chooses one brand over another, we must identify the underlying drivers of their decisions—the motivations and barriers they face.

Behavior is shaped by various factors—cultural norms, societal systems, and individual psychology. By combining evidence-based behavioral analysis frameworks with our tailored methodologies, our behavioral experts are able to map all this influences. This allows us to pinpoint current behaviors and what’s needed to inspire change.

This way we can design strategies that effectively understand the market landscape and how your stakeholders make decisions.

NOT ALL DECISIONS ARE RATIONAL

We may be armed with lots of information and the best intentions, but we still don’t always behave in a rational way. We are driven by subconscious biases and heuristics, which help us deal with the decision-making demands of our busy lives.

If we simply ask consumers why they decide to choose a given item, their answers will not reveal the true drivers of their behaviour.
